We Hosted Our Own Digital Music Festival and Here's the Template We Used
Hey everyone, my girlfriend and I have been stuck inside due to social distancing just like all of you and we recently decided to fight our boredom by planning and hosting a digital Couchella the weekend that Coachella was supposed to happen.
We put together a plan over a few weeks and it was surprisingly difficult given the constraints of audio. We ended up having to set up two separate beta tests with our friends to make sure our whole plan + tech worked to simulate the in-person experience as much as possible.
Everyone ended up having a TON of fun.
Given everyone's current situation, we really wanted to share the plan we made with other people too.
So we took all of our planning and put it in a free spreadsheet kit that contains things like lineup sets that people can sign up to "DJ", instructions on setting up audio/video to simulate being in person at Coachella, drinking games, and more.
