A year off to travel

My wife(37F) and I(36M) are taking a year (2022) off of work to travel the US. We will be living in an RV. We will generally be up north in the Summer and down south in the winter. We love live music and festivals. We're trying to plan our route. What festivals do we absolutely need to attend? We are open to almost any genre, but a couple of our favorite bands:

O.A.R. Mumford and Sons The Lumineers Moon Taxi 311 Iration

We also love nostalgia so Matchbox 20, Alanis, Etc..

I know there's no hard dates set, but a general week/month, location, # of days, genre would be appreciated information. Thank you for taking the time to offer advice.

Etymotic Foam vs. Custom Earplugs

I'm trying to decide if custom earplugs are worth it for me... So I've been to concerts in the past, and I typically use Etymotic ER20XS earplugs with foam tips. I usually try to be close to the front (and usually end up off to the side), so maybe the sound would be different if I go further back and toward the center, but I find that with the foam tips, the sound ends up super bassy and the vocals become a little hard to understand. Is that a product of where I'm standing in relation to the speakers, or is that just the nature of foam tips? Could I expect to see a difference with custom earplugs?
