Festival Braids Advice

I'm super excited to try out festival braids for EDC and am going to get the done tomorrow in DC (where I live) before heading to Vegas Thursday AM! This is my first time so I'm looking for some guidance from anyone who has gotten them before. I'm debating whether to do the multiple bubble braids at the end or stick with two solid braids (see photos). Will the multiple bubble braids look last from Wednesday - Monday? What should I do to keep my braids as in tact as possible over the next week?
