I am going to Norway's Tons of Rock in 2020. This will be my first time in Norway metal fest (and in Norway as well). I'll be camping there. What are the basic dos and don'ts in Norway that I should know about? When setting up my tent, will I get access to electricity? Or electricity is only available in specific spots on the campsite? What kind of toilet/restroom/shower facility is there? There is no map (of the festival and camping areas) on the Tons of Rock website. Not yet at least. Will there be one usually? Am I allowed to bring my own medicine? Hey guys! I know festivalseason is a long way down the line, but i am really in a planning mood today (might be because i have 2 exams to study for). So the festival i'm going to next year doesn't allow any open flames, so no grill, gas cooker or similar things. Therefore we won't be able to cook warm meals. As the title says. My first EDM concert was a Marshmello show at Navy Pier last year, and while I had a lot of fun, you can imagine how low my bar is lol. I was looking for a real EDM fest experience and eventually learned about Electric Forest. However, I think it would be smarter for me to start with a cheaper and more beginner-friendly festival experience, just to gauge and see if this is something I would like to get more into. For reference, I live in Chicago and would be saving up to attend said festival sometime around March or so of next year, and would be willing to travel 2-4 hours to attend it. I’m 20 years old, and I’ve been going to raves / festivals since I was 18. I love music more than anything and absolutely love going to see it live. I have recently moved to Canada from Europe and I started looking into festivals for the next summer... But either I am just looking at the wrong festivals or 80% of music festivals in North America are not really about music? When looking at most "aftermovies" or other videos and pictures, I see many barely over-age teens basically running around in underwear + "cool" frat boys? Is that what I have to expect from most big festivals? I was specifically looking at Coachella, Ultra, Fvded in the park, all these big names in Canada/US. E.g. If I compare Ultra and, let's say, Defqon 1 (or some festival around the same size in Europe) I generally feel like that the crowd at Defqon 1 is more "mature" (?) and that Defqon 1 is more about the music and the feeling of unity in music than compared to Ultra where it seems to be more about being able to say "I have been there." Can anyone recommend a festival that would suit me (mostly EDML-Listener) t
