I’ve bought my ticket, I have the gear but no car and cannot rent one. I’ll be getting there through means of a shuttle curated by the festival. I pretty much have a 75L pack and a smaller back pack and what fits is what I take. So no canopy, most likely no folding chair, just the essentials. I THINK I can do this, but it’s my first camping fest and I will be alone, my anxiety over it is making me consider bailing even though I want to go. For most of the day I know I’ll be ok, but it’s those odd time where I’m tired and just want to chill, do I just go sit next to my tent under the hot sun? Hey guys! Going to a festival real soon. I've found out they have one of those walk-through metal detectors (full body ones). They have a strict no vape of any kind policy. I'd like to take my weed vape in. I don't mean any harm to anyone, but I just want a puff or 2 in peace. I've contemplated everything. I have most types of vapes: pax, pen, etc... I even have a key fob looking one. I've read that most of them don't pick up on vapes. I also heard to just conceal it with your wallet/keys. There’s a ton of rock and EDM festivals and then pretty much just rolling loud which IMO is pretty watered down and basically always the same lineup. Even the large multi genre festivals usually only have a few in the lineup compared to other genres. I fell in love with the Otis Mountain Get Down years ago - its relatively small size makes it feel cozy and close-knit, its location isn't some random field full of fences and porta-potties, the music is eclectic and unfamiliar, and the ticket prices can't be beat. I've never been to anything bigger, but I wonder whether I'd be as comfortable. I live in Southern Connecticut, so it's about a six-hour drive. I'd be willing to go as far for something similar, especially at a comparable price. Does anyone know of a festival that might fit the bill? Ok so I have used Verve before for Camp Bisco years ago and I am trying to use it again to go to Sonic Bloom but I’m having a lot of issues. I cannot for the life of me locate the online login page for the sonic bloom campaign. When I try to go through the sonic bloom website it only takes me to the sign up page and not the login. And I have no link because when I registered it said my number was already in use even though I tried to login with all my other emails to see if I had another account and I didn’t. So I signed up with my friend’s number so she is getting my texts but didn’t think they would be important and blocked them! So I downloaded the app hoping this would allow me to sell tickets but when I click on the “make a sale” button nothing happens. I’ve tried restarting the app, my phone, and it’s all just not working. And I have people that want to buy tickets from me and I really want to sell them so I can try and get a free ticket! I have been going to west coast electronic/bass music festivals for the past 5 years or so and at some of the better ones I see a lot of contact improv, but nothing like I see at ecstatic dance. I particularly see this full force at Beloved. These people are like rolling and lipping off of each other and it is literally the coolest thing I've ever seen. Is there a name for this? Mine was a free one run by the local radio station in Reading they somehow managed to book fairly popular acts (#when you bear in mind it was free and for a local radio station acts that had some traction I mean I'm now a rock fan but at the time I was well in to pop as most people are when they're young (I'm talking about 7-12). My first Rock festival was the Buck and Skit fest again in Reading it was mostly local bands(they were also pretty good) but there was also bands like Capdown and Biffy Clyro (pre puzzle) on the bill not bad for £12.
