LSD with a concussion

Has anyone been to a music festival with a concussion and still taken drugs? I was diagnosed with a mild concussion 2 days ago but I have this festival tomorrow and I paid SO MUCH for everything … worth it? submitted by /u/Pretty-Round4255 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/festivals/comments/15nix5t/lsd_with_a_concussion/

Full time festival work while traveling

So my lease is up next summer, and since I have a fair chunk of change saved up I’m thinking of trying to travel across America for a bit. I’ve fallen in love with music fests and I’ll be volunteering at one later this year which will give me some experience. Is there anyone who’s lived a traveling lifestyle for a bit who made semi steady income off of music fests? What else did you do to supplement income? Did you camp a lot or stay in hotels? I just hate being trapped in one place and would love to travel, but I’m not that rich so I’d like to combine my interest in festivals with traveling so I don’t just blow through my entire savings submitted by /u/dancing-on-the-brain [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/festivals/comments/15mwplr/full_time_festival_work_while_traveling/

advice on first sober festival

i am going to my first festival sober and was wondering if anyone has some tips, especially for someone fairly new in sobriety. i have about 4 months sober and have been to many local events sober and love the music and vibes so i thought it would be a good idea to try a weekend festival and see how it goes. i used to party a ton at raves and festivals in a very destructive way- no judgement whatsoever to those who party but i can’t be trusted with it. i might be making too big of a deal of this, but i’m just not sure how i will react when i get there since festivals used to go hand in hand with my destructive drinking and using. i miss the music and the vibes so much and i don’t want sobriety to keep me from what i love. i have one friend i’m arriving with but we aren’t close and will potentially be riding solo for a lot of it. is there anything i should think about, plan ahead, or keep in mind? submitted by /u/Wild_Surprise7875 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit

Lost village

Hi! I bought a lost village ticket in Feb but since then the person who I was supposed to go with has sold their ticket and not told me up until now meaning I may have to go on my own if I can’t sell mine. I’m 19 M just looking for a group or person to take me in! Never been to a camping festival before so little worried about the whole situation but I’m here now (sadly). Thank you <3 submitted by /u/IllEquipment3367 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/festivals/comments/15lxvaq/lost_village/

Is Defected Malta worth it for going solo?

Last year’s edition looked sick and I am keen to give it a try this year. However none of my friends want to go with me. I’m willing to go solo, but still a bit scared that I won’t have fun being on my own. My birthday is a few days after the festival so probably a good way to celebrate. Would be much appreciated if you could let me know your thoughts, particularly if you attended this festival last year. submitted by /u/FuzzyPreference6382 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/festivals/comments/15lwvu8/is_defected_malta_worth_it_for_going_solo/

Has anyone gone to a festival while unwell with a cold/flu?

Before every festival I get worried about catching a cold / flu. I know alcohol & the rest will dull it for a while, but trying to sleep in a tent, the heat, and the illness probably getting worse with each day of misbehaving - it sounds awful. However I’d probably still firm it. I (30m) introduced my partner (27f) to music festivals 7 years ago

A bit of background - we've been dating for 7 years. When we first started dating, I introduced her to raves and festivals. Like many people, we took substances like M and more recently LSD. However I've now reached a stage in my life where I feel more focused on my career and other parts of my life. I've stopped taking drugs and don't actively go to raves (though I'll come along with her if she goes) My SO still enjoys raves and wishes to partake in these substances. I am trying to convince her that she does not need to take anything to have fun, but she still does. I am being slightly controlling now with her doses, saying that she does not need to take an entire tab at an upcoming event, and to take half only. Am I being unfair on her? - should I just let her do anything she wants? submitted by /u/MoneyLump [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/festivals/comments/15jzk8f/i_30m_introduced_my_partner_27f_to_music/

If you've never been to Pickathon, go.

Pendarvis farm, Happy Valley, Oregon, just outside of Portland. It's one of the best festivals I've ever been to.super sustainable /low waste, Amazing music lineup, great variety of food vendors, kids activities, bars near every stage, , farmers market, water stations everywhere, and every band plays twice so people don't miss their favorites. Anybody know what this could be?

Image
I am staying on a campground and after doing my laundry tonight I found this thing. At first I thought it was maybe a Jell-O shot but there’s no logo and it seems too small. The packaging looks kind of trippy almost? Also, it is a campground so there’s always something interesting. I kept it and I’m super curious wtf this thing is. I also can’t tell if any detergent got in it. I’m not saying I’m gonna do anything with it since it was washed AND dried but it has to be something more interesting than a jelloshot! Falling in love at a festival

I just wanna get this off my chest. On my birthday this year I found a beautiful stranger who I really connected with at a festival. We made beautiful love and I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so seen and comfortable with someone I just met. Now I don’t know if I’ll ever get to see them in the flesh again and it makes me feel a little gutted inside. I know they say if it’s meant to be they’ll come back but that doesn’t help these feelings. They raised my standards on who I will share intimate moments with and I’m just feeling lonely and craving affection. I guess from this post I would love to hear others stories of them having a one night festival lover and how it affected them and changed their life. Also how to deal with these feelings of wondering if I’ll ever find someone like that I can spend my life with. submitted by /u/tiedyeride [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/festivals/comments/15gh7gv/falling_in_love_at_a_festival/

How to make connections / fun rave buddies at festivals

Hey, i've just finished a festival solo the last weekend (TML). i was debating about going solo but people encouraged me to go and you read so many posts about people who go solo and say they have had the most amazing time and everyone is really friendly and nice and will take you in instantly. I'm normally a pretty outgoing confident person and can converse easily, not an extreme extrovert but love being around people and love vibing with happy people. Well, I went solo, and while people were really nice and friendly, I didn't feel like i actually made friends. I would dance by myself, then either people will start dancing with me for a bit or i will initiate, we will chat for a bit, have the usual fun dance moves and chats, but after the set is over we just kind of part ways. I really loved the festival and the vibes but felt kinda lonely at times as i didn't make and real connections. was just wondering how people make real connections? like if you're alone a
