I've seen that less and less people are sharing the actual videos from concerts on their instagram posts. I wanted to post a slideshow of my favorite moments from a music festival I attended (2-3 pics and then 6-7 videos from the various concerts), but I don't know if that's too much or if I'm oversharing. I also don't want it to seem like I was on my phone the whole time (I was just lucky and captured some cool moments). Thoughts on the Instagram etiquette nowadays? Hey Y’all, I purchased some tickets for Decadence CO for NYE, but ended up having a change of plans so I can’t make it anymore. Hello guys, I am organizing a one day festival which is composed of an evening part with concerts and day part with various activities. We have the best music bands in Slovenia already reserved but we are looking to offer a special experience. So the music itself is taken care of. The concert part we would keep pretty simple. A good-looking and big stage, nice decorations and awesome music. A lot of things to drink and eat. :) The day part would be composed of touristic experiences, bike riding, skate session (we have a skate park beside the venue), and a wine tasting tour. Whatever the visitor wants. Also on the venue, there would be workshops of different categories and a chill-out zone. I am wondering what are the things that are very important for you or cool things to do when going to a festival. Any suggestions you guys have or you wanted to tell the organizers would be very much appreciated. P.S. we would also offer places to sleep beside the entry tickets. Hostel, camping...

Hello to everyone. I just booked my tickets for All Points East festival 26 August. Here's the thing though. I have never been to London, I will be travelling alone from Greece (no friends interested) and also never been to a concert alone before. I'm super excited in the prospect of travelling and exploring (and kind of proud for taking this super-impulsive, 0 contemplated decision)but also open to suggestions. There's a NYE rave festival in my home state on Dec 30th-31st. I'm in college and I really want to go and this is my first rave. I asked pretty much all my close friends but they either already have plans for new years, they are not ravers or aren't willing to spend so much money for a festival. So at this point, I'm asking acquaintances but I just feel like a burden because I haven't spent so much time with them. I already spent money on it and I spent money because I really want to go and I'm starting to regret doing that because as of right now, I have no one to go with. Hello! Looking for advice as first time festival goers. We would love to see Muse at the Isle of Wight Festival next year. I feel pretty comfortable with buying a day ticket, making our way over from London on Sunday morning, but I'm just not sure what to do for accommodation and transport while at the Isle of Wight. All hotels in Newport are already sold out, and there are a few AirBnBs left in Cowes. We won't have camping supplies with us. Would we be able to catch a bus after Muse performs to Cowes? Not sure how late they'd go, but I'm guessing it'd be after midnight. Ideally we could drop off our stuff somewhere and walk to the festival (don't mind an hour walk). Would it be too much of a hassle to stay in Portsmouth/Southampton and get to the accommodation some time early morning after the concert? Again, buses and ferry schedules would be a wild card. The one thing that comes to mind for me is these two brothers at this festival i attended who both took LSD. One of the brothers ended up having some sort of mental breakdown and bit the others ear off. Another thing my friend saw was at this rave out bush where everyone was inhaling NOS and dancing round a big fire-pit. Some idiot decided to throw an unopened nang into it which subsequently exploded. A piece of shrapnel flew out and lodged into this dudes face taking out his eye (who happened to be on LSD). My friend said they took him to the med tent where he was patched up and given morphine but still wanted to keep partying as he was mid trip and there were no helicopter evacuations available. My mate said he saw the dude dancing round the fire with a bloody bandage. I can't imagine the hangover. What costumes have you worn to a festival? And what were your favorite ones that you've seen? In the past I've worn a cow suit (the udders were very popular), Cat in the Hat, a kangaroo kigurumi, and a pretty sweet Boo Berry costume. I haven't dressed up in many years though. It's more bulk to carry and they get hot. But it's a fun ass time. I'm writing a dissertation on the relationship between artists and their sound technicians at gigs, and how it can be improved. I'm doing some preliminary research and would really appreciate it if any of you were artists or live sound technicians and had 2 minutes to answer some anonymous yes/no style questions about your experiences with making a show happen. Just putting a post out there to see if anyone else has experienced this on psychedelics or otherwise: Basically having the festival mirror your internal state, seeing people dancing in shapes and patterns in tune to the music in a trance like state; could be described as ritualistic. Also seeing other beings in said states, being able to travel quicker through the festival when in a lighter frequency and slower when in a denser one. If this sounds like something you’ve experienced I’d love to hear your thoughts/experiences. There are so many for me, but this year at Spring Awakening: Autumnal Equinox in Chicago, it started pouring during the Sofi Tukker set and oh my god. The energy was just nuts. They dropped a DnB remix of Purple Hat and the front of the crowd erupted into the happiest moshpit I've ever been a part of.
