Going to a festival alone wouldn't be that great, unless you are able to make friends with strangers easily. There's nothing better than having a great time out at a festival with your friends, but I absolutely hate camping with them when there is a large group of us all together. I am an introverted person and need to recharge my batteries by being alone. This would mean I either hang out alone in my tent for an hour, or take a lone wander around the festival. I also have anxiety and it takes me a while to 'prepare' myself when I wake up in the morning - I need at least an hour to freshen up and feel awake enough to interact with other people (including my friends). And yes, this does include making sure I look presentable, 'good' and not 'rough'. The last point may be a symptom of BDD, but I can imagine it is probably a common feeling amongst everyone. I'm gonna be working for the whole duration of the festival (7 days, in France) in a few weeks. I don't have a lot of information on what i will be doing, but it has to do with lockers (?) and working with festival goers. Something that I really enjoyed about scamp was camping right next to stages without needing to pass security each day. Its so convenient to freely go back and forth from camp to stages multiple times a day. I also enjoy camping without a car, but I know a lot of festivals have a tent only section. I'm pretty open to a variety of genres, sizes, and locations. In the past I haven’t really gone to very many festivals or concerts because I am on the autism spectrum and i get anxious and overstimulated being in large crowds in a confined space, (I have been to Lights all Night 2019 in Texas tho) but I just went to Sonic Temple 2023 in Ohio on a whim with my friend who had an extra ticket, and they all went inside to the field/pit and i just stayed outside on the grass and chilled in the back and it was a really fun experience for me even if i was just chilling and walking around by myself! So i was wondering what other festivals and events in the US are really good for the whole experience in the like just chilling outside and walking around and stuff as opposed to being in the crowd moshing and crowd surfing ? Ok so for context, I’ve done EDCO 3 times, I just came home from edc Vegas and I already have tickets secured for edc vegas 2024. Edc Orlando is in November and Elements is in August. However, I’m moving to another state in September so I don’t think I could comfortably squeeze both festivals in financially with moving and everything. Edco lineup hasn’t been announced but Elements lineup looks amazing!! It’s obviously a way smaller festival, but it’s only a 3 hour drive from me and would be a fun new experience. I would have to fly down to Florida which isn’t too bad because it’s a 3 hour flight from where I live in NY. Edco also falls on my birthday weekend. Elements would be my first camping festival which is something I’ve always wanted to do. So do I try something new, but smaller? I want to go to my first solo fest badly and I do hope to get adopted, but incase I don't find a group, how do I feel safe enough to sleep? I'm worried about being kidnapped or something. I know its not likely but that doesn't mean impossible, and it'll likely keep me from sleeping. How do I feel and actually be safe enough to sleep? Edit: I have PTSD, I know it is unlikely, but likelyhood does not make me feel less afraid, only preparing does. And I prefer to prepare for things anyway. Hello fellow festival-goers, in 2 weeks im going to the Greenfield Festival in Interlaken, Switzerland. Ive already gone to multiple metal concerts this year but this is gonna be my first festival. Imma be honest, im terrified ! I have a few questions/concerns that i will be leaving here (sorry if it is unorganized). The fest takes place on the 8-9-10th of June. As the title said Defqon 1 announced they would provide a pay gated set on their festival SEFA will play in a area you can only get into by buying a seperate addon ticket on top of your full priced festival ticket. They say this will be a unique experience a theatre style event etc etc My question would be what do you all think of this? I’m planning on going to Voov Festival in Germany (I’m not from Germany) and Indian Spirit Festival this year. I don’t have someone to go with cause as I said I’m not from Germany and I’m only temporarily moving there. I don’t mind spending time alone and I know I can make friends there, but in terms of safety I’m not sure. Is it safe camping at a festival all alone? I am planning to go to Rock Am Ring 2023, but only on one day. So I think I won't be needing camping, just see the performance and then go with the latest shuttle bus. But if I don't have a tent, then where am I going to store my belongings? I wanted to book a locker but there's no large lockers left. Then I thought I could just go ask someone to store it in their tent, but I assume that then I'll have to buy camping entrance ticket and I really don't need to.
