Idk if this is allowed, sorry if its not! Im just so sad bc my best friend works for google and lives out in CO and goes to fests and concerts and shows all the time. I'm so happy for her deff dont get me wrong, but all my friends seem to be able to do whatever they want bc they have the time and the money to do so and here i am back as a broke college student with 0 time or money to take off. My homework load is through the absolute roof, so even if i could save and go i literally dont have the time to just not do homework for 4 days and take off work. After seeing the struggles people had at Lost Lands, here are some tips from a festival/rave veteran for your next festival if you are a noobie. Get yourself a fanny pack/ satchel bag to keep your wallet, phone, and valuables in. It is much harder to pickpocket a zipped bag that is hanging on your chest/front. Keep an eye on the weather when you are heading to the festival. If there is a chance of heavy rain, make a backup plan incase you cant get in. Bring your own party favors to the festival. Festival dealers are hit or miss, sometimes they have good shit and sometimes they have dangerous shit. It is better to not leave this up to chance. If you do get drugs in a festival, always test it. Bunk Police and Dance Safe are usually at bigger fests and they will test your drugs. My sister and I went to our first festival over the weekend and had a great time! But on more than one occasion we were asked by other people if it would be ok if they gave us their trash to throw away because they didn’t want to litter. It was really sad to experience people having no remorse on imposing on my good time because they don’t want to feel like a bad person. My husband and I (28 + 30 years old) are thinking about going to a small festival together, probably just for 1 day + 1 night. I love dancing and am a hula hooper. He likes to dance in private with me but not really a public dancer - although I'm thinking in such an open environment he may not mind so much. Is a joke. I've used their service on and off for years. I've never had an issue until yesterday at CRSSD - a two day house and techno event in San Diego. I feel like I need to tell you all about how unfair this situation was and why I recommend you never use their service again. To some of you this may be common knowledge - but to those of you that are on the fence and still rely on Stubhub for tickets, give this a read. Earlier in the week I had bought a Saturday ticket to CRSSD at a pretty solid price. I'm trying to decide if custom earplugs are worth it for me... So I've been to concerts in the past, and I typically use Etymotic ER20XS earplugs with foam tips. I usually try to be close to the front (and usually end up off to the side), so maybe the sound would be different if I go further back and toward the center, but I find that with the foam tips, the sound ends up super bassy and the vocals become a little hard to understand. Is that a product of where I'm standing in relation to the speakers, or is that just the nature of foam tips? Could I expect to see a difference with custom earplugs? Hey everyone! I’ve been kinda nervous to make this post but I’m curious to see if anyone can relate to my experience and has any insight. My ex-boyfriend introduced me to the jam band show and music festival scene a couple years back. He took me to dozens of shows in our city and some bands I just liked, some I loved. He broke up with me just about a year ago and since then the only musical event I attended was Resonance 2021, my very first festival. It was a magical experience. I had already seen a few bands there so I had a hunch I’d have a good time. But I had absolutely no idea just how magical of a time it would truly be. I had a few close friends with me there too, who liked EDM/bass way more but even they were blown away. Okay, so, back to my post. Hello all! I came down from Fairbank, AK to check out a couple of my favorite bands at the Treefort Music Fest in Boise, ID but after the first night I worried I am in over my head. The festival is spread out over most of the downtown area in various bars and plazas and I have absolutely no idea how to meet people in that setting. So this will be my first year at lost lands and I'm SUPER hyped. I haven't been to a festival since HiJinx and haven't been camping since Bisco so needless to say, I'm ready to rage my face off with you dirty fuckers. I’m from Vancouver and I’m planning on buying tickets for Dooms Night (Martin Garrix, Vini Vici). Sadly, the event was sold out so now I have to buy for resell price. The problem however is that the event uses Ticketmaster, which doesn’t have a transfer system for reselling tickets. I’ve messaged a stranger through Instagram for buying tickets and she says that she can email me a pdf file of the tickets. Does anyone have any tips for buying resell tickets? Hey so I'm 22(F) and i have never been to a real music festival other than weird Christian ones my mom worked at, I really want to go to roots and blues this weekend with some friends but they will ve working in a food truck most of the time so I will essentially be going alone. Money is tight and I would love to sell cool headbands/rings etc and hopefully make enough to cover my expenses and make a profit but I have Literally no idea what to expect I dont have a vendors liscence or anything, so it would be all hand to hand.
