I've really loved Bonnaroo the few times I've been. I'm in my early 30's and loved it more circa 2010 when the crowd had more old hippie types but I don't mind a younger crowd as long as people are generally respectful. I went to a day of Panorama in 2017 and really hated the vibes. It felt like I was the only person who was older than 25. Kids were just puking everywhere and I saw a lot of really fucked up people basically being abandoned with no one stopping to check on them. Really different from the sense of kindness and community I got at Roo. I'm considering going to Lollapalooza this year because the lineup is really great imo and my fiancé has been wanting to see Chicago. I know it's inherently a different kind of fest being in the city but I was curious about other people's experiences and how it might compare to Roo. I have a festival in 6 weeks and I'll be bringing my tacoma. There's no cover for the bed currently so I'm trying to find an option where the tent would be attached to the bed of the truck but also have the normal on ground area for sleeping. I see some SUV options like im looking for but I'm nervous that awning part that would go over the vehicle wouldn't reach all the way to the cab. I'm trying to have my set up to where I can keep my belongings in the bed without being exposed for security and out of the elements. I’m going to Primavera this year and am wondering if anyone has a solution to this recurring issue I have: Too often have I left a festival missing an artist that made one/ a couple songs that I love, but because I personally don’t listen to music by artist as much, I easily forget names of artists I’d potentially love to see. Where can I buy old-school, style blacklights with long florescent bulbs. The kind of lights and fixtures that we used to see in rolerskating rinks, and head shops next to the glowing neon colored posters of mushrooms and peace signs? I got on Amazon and ordered what looked like a nice new-style LED black light, but was thoroughly disappointed. Total weak sauce. LED blacklights are awful. So, I ordered another one that looked like a genuine black light, florescent tube one (a smaller one), but it also was too weak. Hey all! The year before COVID I attended my first weekend festival and had an absolute blast! I’ve been to a few more since. I love seeing such huge groups of friends all camping together, and would love to experience camping in a group like that but none of my friends like festivals! Hello, I’m going to my first several day festival soon, and want to try to make it as enjoyable as possible. It’s 3 days and we’ll be staying in a house about 30 minutes away each night, so once I’m there I won’t be really coming and going much. I can bring a hydro pack and a Fanny pack and I’m thinking about getting a locker. So far I’m thinking about bringing a brimmed hat, sun glasses, cell phone charger, sunscreen, chap stick, a towel, and maybe a pocket fan. Hi guys I am going to Openair Frauenfeld this year. It will be my first time at a festival. Im quite short, like 1m 70cm and was wondering if i’d be able to see the performer of stage. At concerts Ive always had trouble but i think those stages are lower. Keep in mind, its a massive festival with 200’000 people so I will be surrounded by people in every direction. Desperately looking for advice as this is my first Primavera Sound (Porto), plus I haven’t been to festivals in 10+yrs, and they were only small ones anyway. Oh boy, I know this is a silly problem but it is really bothering me. I am thinking about going to a festival this summer and, for the moment, none of my friends is interested or is able to join me. At the same time, I KNOW that my ex would love this music and I am worried about seeing them there with their new partner. Normally I love doing things by myself, I travel alone all the time, I am pretty friendly and easygoing. Unfortunately the anxiety over meeting my ex at the festival is kinda preventing from even buying the tickets. We did not part on good terms and I am worried about how seeing them will affect my experience. I'm (26F) planning on going to Elements for my first festival experience. I've seen a lot of people recommend the easy-up over your sleeping tent. Does having two layers of shade really make a difference? I am also debating sleeping in my car with my hang out space outside. I will bring a spare tent just in case. I am planning to go by myself so I just hope my neighbors will be kind enough to help me if I do bring an easy-up canopy. I'm really good at packing/camping so I don't think I'll have any issues with that. I will definitely be bringing loads of water and battery fans. I really enjoy going to shows and festivals but as I’ve gotten older, I find myself feeling incredibly anxious at them. The anxiety seems to be social in nature , fears of feeling judged / embarrassed / too vulnerable. I still want to be able to go and enjoy myself.
